Mineral Insulated Strip Heater

In the most difficult application or in normal use, this strip heater will significantly improve your application.  A Mineral Insulated Strip is a thin and robust heater that uses the most advanced heater construction techniques.  They are also Called MI Strips.  Internally, a nickel-chromium element wire is embedded in MGO, an exclusive mineral insulation material.  This Mineral Insulated Strip has a much higher thermal conductivity than the mica and hard ceramic insulators used in other conventional heaters.  This thin layer of mineral insulation brings the element wire closer to the heater’s sheath.  The result is heat flowing easily from the element wire to the sheath allowing the wire to run cooler than conventional heaters and in turn increasing the heater’s life.  Mineral Insulated Strip heaters are made with a stainless steel sheath material for more demanding applications.  Because of the compaction of the component materials, this heater can produce 1200’F (650’C) sheath temperatures.
